Deja and Josiah are seasonal best friends. Every autumn, all through high school, they’ve worked together at the best pumpkin patch in the whole wide world. (Not many people know that the best pumpkin patch in the whole wide world is in Omaha, Nebraska, but it definitely is.) They say good-bye every Halloween, and they’re reunited every September 1. But this Halloween is different—Josiah and Deja are finally seniors, and this is their last season at the pumpkin patch. Their last shift together. Their last good-bye. Josiah’s ready to spend the whole night feeling melancholy about it. Deja isn’t ready to let him. She’s got a plan: What if—instead of moping and the usual slinging lima beans down at the Succotash Hut—they went out with a bang? They could see all the sights! Taste all the snacks! And Josiah could finally talk to that cute girl he’s been mooning over for three years . . .

What if their last shift was an adventure?

I have only read Rainbow Rowell's adult books which I absolutely loved and enjoyed her adult books so much, but I never read any of her Young Adults books or her graphic novels that she has out already. But when I heard she had another graphic novel coming out in Aug and that it was all about the fall and set in a pumpkin patch during the Halloween season. I had to get my hands on it so I quickly check if my local library had this amazing graphic novel I was in luck it was already in and nobody checked it out yet from the library.

So, of course, I quickly put Pumpkinheads on hold and I got the call from the library a couple of days later to get Pumpkinheads that the book was already there at my local library. I scream when I first got my hands on it and read it on the same day when I got it from the library. What can I say about Pumpkinheads it was an amazing, fantastic and really fun graphic novel that I so love adore this graphic novel so much.  The art style in this book was so beautiful and very cute at the same time I just love how all the diverse characters were brought to life in Pumpkinheads, Ohh and I can't tell you how much I love seeing the very fun and huge pumpkin patch.

I just wish there was a  pumpkin patch like in this graphic novel near where I live at I would of so love going to a  pumpkin patch like in Pumpkinheads. Like always I love the writing style flows beautifully and very descriptive as well I just couldn't get enough of Pumpkinheads. My favorite part reading and seeing the artwork of Pumpkinheads was all the diverse characters I especially love and adore both Deja and Josiah the seasonal best friends. Plus I so loved when both Deja and Josiah were on the mission to find the girl that  Josiah has a crush for years and that  Josiah can finally talk her.

Both Deja and Josiah are both seniors and this is their last season together at the pumpkin patch. Their last shift together and their last good-bye. Deja wants to go out in a bang and help her shy and introvert best friend Josiah to find fudge girl that he had a crush on since the first started to work at the Pumpkin patch so he can finally talk to her.

And Oh boy what an adventure that both Deja and Josiah had going through the pumpkin patch, they were having fun at the riding the different rides and tasting great and different foods and sweets at the patch. That the foods had my mouth just watering by looking at the different sweets and foods in the pumpkin patch that both Deja and Josiah were eating. All and all Pumpkinheads was a really cute and adorable graphic novel that I love and adore so much and it is also perfect to read during the autumn and Halloween season.

Rainbow Rowell (Author)

Rainbow Rowell writes books. Sometimes she writes about adults (ATTACHMENTS and LANDLINE). Sometimes she writes about teenagers (ELEANOR & PARK and FANGIRL). But she always writes about people who talk a lot. And people who feel like they're screwing up. And people who fall in love. When she's not writing, Rainbow is reading comic books, planning Disney World trips and arguing about things that don't really matter in the big scheme of things. She lives in Nebraska with her husband and two sons. More at rainbowrowell.com.

 Faith Erin Hicks (Illustrator)

Born in the wilds of British Columbia, the young Faith frolicked among the Sasquatch native to the province before moving to Ontario at age five. There she was homeschooled with her three brothers, and developed an unnatural passion for galloping around on horseback, though never without a proper helmet (because you only get one skull). After twenty years of suffering through Ontario’s obscenely hot summers, she migrated east, and now lives beside the other ocean in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She worked in animation for a bit, and now draws comics full time. She’s not sure how that happened either.
