Ohh heck yes! When I first saw this amazing book on a blog tour for Rachel Random Resources Tour and saw the genre was young adult, fantasy. I had to join in on the blog tour because yall now I absolutely and thoroughly love reading young adult fantasy books, and A Tale of Stars and Shadow did not disappoint me at all. A Tale of Stars and Shadow had everything that I love in Fantasy books strong and a kick-ass female heroine who is also a princess and warrior, a lonely prince who hides and masked his true feeling and emotions. And a group of petty human criminals who don't want to be in the WingGaurd and be near and work for any ignorant and arrogant wing folks, Ohh and I almost forget there is one very handsome male wing folk who is also apart of the humane WingGuard group which at the beginning the petty criminals really didn't like the male wing folk to be in their WingGaurd group to be a team members with him. The male wing folk doesn't want to be there either but he does not have any other choice but to be part of that group. But as you can see I love all the complex and diverse characters yes even the villains as well, the fantasy world-building is complex and a little confusing but there is a map on the front page of the book that I could understand a little better of the world. The plotline and aspects of A Tale of Stars and Shadow are the same in all other fantasy books that I have read before but this book has twist and turns that I didn't even see coming while reading it until I read the ending. The writing style flows well and I understood every word in this book and the writing style was also very expressive and descriptive that I could feel every character's emotion and see the fantasy world in my mind. I have a lot of questions that were answered when I was reading this book. But there were still some unanswered questions that I didn't get at the end of this book. I know there is going to be a second book coming out and I know some unanswered questions will be answered in the next book which I can't wait to read the next book. But until then it will be pure torture to wait until the next book to come out which I don't know what date it is coming out on. All and all I loved and enjoyed A Tale of Stars and Shadow that I am excited and can't wait until the second book comes out!
Lisa Cassidy (Author)
About Lisa Cassidy Living in Australia's capital, I’m a self - published author who mostly sticks to novel - length fantasy but occasionally likes to break out with short stories on random things like unicorns and ninjas. When I’m not writing, you might catch me enthus iastically spectating a basketball game (#NewYorkKnick for life!), reading a tonne of books, or...who am I kidding? I spend a lot of time writing!
