How do you rid the Earth of seven billion humans? Rid the humans of their humanity.
Surviving the first four waves was nearly impossible. Now Cassie Sullivan finds herself in a new world, a world in which the fundamental trust that binds us together is gone. As the 5th Wave rolls across the landscape, Cassie, Ben, and Ringer are forced to confront the Others' ultimate goal: the extermination of the human race.
Cassie and her friends haven't seen the depths to which the Others will sink, nor have the Others seen the heights to which humanity will rise, in the ultimate battle between life and death, hope and despair, love and hate.

I know not every reader love or even like this book which is absolutely ok but I really loved and enjoyed it. Boy, what a ride was The Infinite Sea to me at the very beginning until the very end there was a twist and turns that left me on my tipping toes and reeling while reading this book. I can understand why some readers didn't love or like this book with some aspects of the book. I will tell you all the truth I still think the first book was a much better book than The Infinite Sea but I really did love and enjoy how everything was going down in this great book, now I don't want to go into any details about this book because I don't want to get any a spoiler. But I will say The Infinite Sea starts off right where The 5th Wave left off at. To me, there was a lot of things going on more in this book and there were more twist and turns in this book as well that I absolutely loved and enjoyed reading every minute of the twist and turns and trying to figure out the riddle that the others were saying over and over to one of there captive. Yes, one of Zombie friends was caught by the others but I won't say who it is and what happens to that specific captive because that is a spoiler. You have to read this book to find out who or what happens to that person and believe me you will be in shock on who the person is. I wouldn't think in a million years that this person would ever get caught by the others and held captive for a specific reason. All I can say that a person goes through hell for what the others put him/she through. Now the riddle what the others were saying over and over to the captive I was trying to solve it but I am not great with solving riddles but when the captive finally solve the riddle I was left gasping I couldn't believe what I was reading and I so didn't see that twist coming out all. So Bravo and kudos to Mrs. Rick Yancey for surprising the heck outta of me at the very end of the book. All and all I really love and enjoy this book that I can't wait to read The Last Star really soon!
