Danger is hard to resist in this sexy thriller from Becca Fitzpatrick, the New York Times bestselling author of the Hush, Hush saga.

Britt Pheiffer has trained to backpack the Teton Range, but she isn’t prepared when her ex-boyfriend, who still haunts her every thought, wants to join her. Before Britt can explore her feelings for Calvin, an unexpected blizzard forces her to seek shelter in a remote cabin, accepting the hospitality of its two very handsome occupants—but these men are fugitives, and they take her hostage.

Britt is forced to guide the men off the mountain, and knows she must stay alive long enough for Calvin to find her. The task is made even more complicated when Britt finds chilling evidence of a series of murders that have taken place there…and in uncovering this, she may become the killer’s next target.

But nothing is as it seems, and everyone is keeping secrets, including Mason, one of her kidnappers. His kindness is confusing Britt. Is he an enemy? Or an ally?

“Rife with psychological twists exploring themes of revenge, misogyny, and familial duty” (Publishers Weekly), Black Ice is New York Times bestselling author Becca Fitzpatrick’s riveting romantic thriller set against the treacherous backdrop of the mountains of Wyoming. Falling in love should never be this dangerous…

Now I know some readers don't like Black Ice and I have heard mix reviews about this book with some book bloggers I am following. But I am really surprise on how much I absolutely love and enjoy Black Ice. I am really loving Becca Fitzpatrick writing style and on how she can tell a mystery thriller story. I really love everything about Black Ice. The plot and concept was full of mystery and suspense that it had me engaged on the book from start too finish. The writing style is very expository and descriptive that I felt that I was right there with the characters in the story, I just love reading every moment and description in this awesome book. The characters were very well rounded and dynamic too me that I can feel ever emotion they were feeling especially the main characters Britt and Mason aka Jude. Now I don't want to give too much details about Black Ice. But Black Ice is about Britt and her best friend Korbie going on spring break vacation to Idlewilde were there is Korbie's family summer cabin in Grand Teton National Park. So they can also go backpacking through the Teton Range, well Britt was going backpacking and her best friend Korbie was going to stay at the cabin with her boyfriend Bear. But there was a little problem with there trip Korbie older brother Calvin has too tag along and chaperone the girls while there at Idlewilde. This is a big problem for Britt because Calvin is Britt ex boyfriend who broke her heart and he still haunts her every thoughts. At first she made that trip thinking Calvin would join them, but now after she heard that he was actually joining them she was having seconds thoughts. Britt tried asking Korbie if her parents would reconsider that Calvin doesn't need to chaperone them on there trip but Korbie parents would hear none of that and would not budge with there decision. So Britt had too bare with Calvin presents during there whole spring break vacation too Idlewilde. While Britt and Korbie were driving too Idlewilde there were struck by a horrible unexpected blizzard that forced her and Korbie to seek shelter. When they both thought there were not going to find shelter in the horrible blizzard they finally found a remote cabin with two very handsome occupants in the cabin. They happily accepted there hospitality to enter the cabin for shelter even though one of the men did not want them there. But soon Britt and Korbie finds out these men are fugitives and they take them hostage. Now the two fugitives forces Britt to guide them off the mountain. But Britt is really confuse with one of the hostages Mason he treats her with kindness and he acts like he really cares for what happens too Britt. Is Mason an enemy? Or an ally? Now I am going to leave it off here because I don't want to spoil it for anybody. But I can't wait too read more books by Becca Fitzpatrick! I am most definitely going to read her Hush Hush Series because I have a really good feeling that I am really going to love and enjoy that series as well!

Becca Fitzpatrick grew up reading Nancy Drew and Trixie Belden with a flashlight under the covers. She graduated college with a degree in health, which she promptly abandoned for storytelling. When not writing, she's most likely prowling sale racks for reject shoes, running, or watching crime dramas on TV. She is the author of the bestselling HUSH, HUSH Saga. Her new book BLACK ICE arrives in bookstores everywhere October 7, 2014.
