Unabridged CDs, 35 CDs, 44 hours  Read by Steven Weber They were teenagers when they first stumbled upon the horror. Now it is calling them back to Derry, Maine—a force they cannot withstand, an evil without a name.

I finally got the guts to read a Stephen King novel and I decided to listen to this mammoth of a book on cd form from the library which is 45 hours long and had 35 CDs.  The physical book of It has 1116 pages long and there was no way I was going to read the huge physical book. Now I heard from other readers that Stephen King's books are very descriptive and kind of dense that's why I decided to listen to this book on the audio form.

It took me a month and 1 week to finish listening to It and Ooo boy I am so glad and happy that I decided to listen to It through audio than reading it in physical form. I won't go into any details about It because I think everybody knows what this book is about. But I have seen the original film of it when I was a kid and I was so petrified watching that movie but when I grow older I watch It again and I enjoyed watching the original film. When I was a teenager I find out that the original It film was base on a book by Stephen King which I really wanted to read the book but I got so intimidated by the length of the book I just know I couldn't read the physical book.

So let's fast-forward to last year I saw the new remake It: Chapter 1 last year that got me wanted to read the book badly now I was still intimidated by the length of the book, but this year I took the plunge and check out the audio form of It through the library and it was so worth it and a much better experience for me to listen to my first Stephen King novel and the narrator Steven Weber did a fantastic job doing the different voices of the multiple pov's that was on this audio.  Now, Stephen King, books are very lengthy, very descriptive that I can tell you the It films are way more taming than the book, of course, the film was not going to be exactly like the It novel, the descriptions in this book is pure dark horror and very gory that it details ever gore and horror scene description in this book. But to me, It was a more suspenseful book as well that had me gasping for air and on my tipping toes just listening to this book. And this book to me was also kind of dense as well, now I know some readers don't like this book and I could understand why and that's ok if you didn't like this book there is a lot of trigger warnings that I can't list all the trigger warning in It. But with all the trigger warning and the pure size of this book to listen to it, I really liked and enjoyed reading It so much I thought I wasn't going to enjoy It so much but this book caught me totally off guard.

That I so liked and enjoyed this book so much now I can't wait to read more books by Stephen King I am currently listening to Pet Semetery and I am enjoying listening to it so far. All and all I highly and thoroughly enjoyed reading It that I will try to continue to listen to Stephen King's novel through audio because I prefer listening to a Stephen King novel than reading a physical book by him.

Stephen King (Author)

Stephen Edwin King was born the second son of Donald and Nellie Ruth Pillsbury King. After his father left them when Stephen was two, he and his older brother, David, were raised by his mother. Parts of his childhood were spent in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where his father's family was at the time, and in Stratford, Connecticut. When Stephen was eleven, his mother brought her children back to Durham, Maine, for good. Her parents, Guy and Nellie Pillsbury, had become incapacitated with old age, and Ruth King was persuaded by her sisters to take over the physical care of them. Other family members provided a small house in Durham and financial support. After Stephen's grandparents passed away, Mrs. King found work in the kitchens of Pineland, a ne ...more

  2. I've seen both versions of the IT movie, and love Stephen King, but don't think I would ever read this because of a disturbing scene I've heard a lot about.
