What were your worst movies based off of books? (submitted by Ronyell @ Rabbit Ears Book Blog)
First I would like to say I am truly sorry if I will be offending anybody who loves these films that I am about to say I really did love the books though but not the films, but I have to say the Divergent films were the worst movies based off books to me. I just didn't like them. I didn't watch none of the films at the movies theaters either but I did watch all the films though. I think the reason I didn't like the films because I didn't like some of the acting in the movies and they changed a lot and put some things that were not even in the books.
I enjoyed the first Divergent movie (the only one I've watched) but I've never read the books. Someone told me how the books end and that means I refuse to read them (what kind of ending is THAT?!) and I now refuse to watch more of the movies as they never finished the series! :/

DeleteYes, I wasn't overly keen on the acting in those movies either. I only saw the first one all the way through.

ReplyDeleteI can't speak for the Divergent series as I've never read the books, nor have I actually watched the films. I say 'actually' because I haven't been able to sit through one of the film completely. In fact, I can hardly remember the plot of them. I think I remember the beginning of the first one and that's it - so clearly the films didn't stand out to me too much. I don't really like the actors who are involved in the series, and I think, because I didn't enjoy the films, it somewhat has put me off of wanting to read the books. I'm still wondering whether I should give them a shot though.
