Do you enjoy reading retellings of, or 'sequels' to, classic novels? Why or why not? (submitted by Maria @ A Night's Dream of Books)
Yes, I absolutely love reading retelling and sequels to classic novels. I especially love reading fairy tale retellings there are my favorite retellings ever. And why do I love fairy tale retelling I just love it. I loved to watch the Disney films when I was a kid so I love reading fairy retellings in books. Now on to why I love sequels to classic novels I actually listen to the audio of classic novels on overdrive. And I absolutely love listening to them on audio, which I prefer it helps me a lot with the dialect and language of classic novels.

  1. I've had good luck with audio with classics too. I listened to Huckleberry Finn on audio and I'm so glad I did. I'm not sure I could have gotten through it in print with the dialect.

  6. I enjoy fairy tale retellings too, especially if they put their own original twist on the source. I don't listen to audiobooks much but I should give them a go more often.

  9. I haven't read a lot of re- tellings or sequels to classics, but I'd like to try more of them. I think there's probably some great ones out there, and it would be nice to see a new take on an old classic! :)

  11. I love retellings! I wish I could get into the audiobooks as well, but I always find my mind wandering. There's something about the visual aspect of books that just keeps me on track.
