This Week Question:
Have you ever found yourself acting like a favorite character in a novel? If so, which one? (submitted by Maria @ A Night's Dream of Books)
My Answer:
Actually I have read and found a male character who I totally act like and relate too in so many levels, and that would be Lincoln O'Neill aka Link from Attachments by Rainbow Rowell. This book has a piece of my heart the relationship that Link had with his mother is the same relationship that me and my father have. And yes I am totally a Daddy's Girl. But I can't believe how he acted and was going through in this book it's almost the same thing how I acted as well and I was going through the same thing he was going through in this book. Plus Link is 30 years old in this book, and when I first read this book I was turning 30. I just love and adore this book so much that I will always carry it in my heart forever.
How About You?
I didn't really think about characters I relate too! Link is such a wonderful character. I'd love to reread this one.
ReplyDeleteI just adore Link I really can relate to him more even though he is male and I am female. lol Thank you so much for stopping by my blog hop Katherine.
DeleteHmm, I do notice my swearing has heated up since I've picked up reading again. My husband frequently complains that I could make a sailor blush ;)

DeleteAww it's so great you found a character you could relate to on such a meaningful level. I suppose I have a similar thing with Harry Potter, as my birthday is a day before his and I was always the same age as him whenever I read the books, so I felt like I grew up with him. I will have to check out Attachments.
ReplyDeleteAhh yes isn't it a great feeling when you can relate too a character. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog hop Tizzy.
DeleteLove your answer. I only considered whether I'd tried to act like characters, as opposed to simply relating to them on some level.
ReplyDeleteOhh ok I totally understanding about acting like characters towards opposed to relating to them. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog hope Nicki.

ReplyDeleteMe too I wish some of my favorite characters were real as well, like Kenji from the shatter me series. He is so hilarious and he is a great best friend too Juliet. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog hop.

DeleteI've never acted like a character but I see myself in some and have tried things because of a book character, for example chamomile tea (bleugh!)
ReplyDeletelol I never tried things from books that I have read, but I really want too one day. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog hop Nicola.
DeleteI'm a Daddy's Girl too!! I've been told that I act like Bella from Twilight, not the selfless, death-defying actions she does, but more like her sarcastic, shy, intuitive, thoughtful personality. Plus, we both love to read and love Edward Cullen! My BBH
