The enemy is Other.
The enemy is us. They’re down here, they’re up there, they’re nowhere. They want the Earth, they want us to have it. They came to wipe us out, they came to save us. But beneath these riddles lies one truth: Cassie has been betrayed. So has Ringer. Zombie. Nugget. And all 7.5 billion people who used to live on our planet. Betrayed first by the Others, and now by ourselves. In these last days, Earth’s remaining survivors will need to decide what’s more important: saving themselves…or saving what makes us human.
I finally finished reading The 5th Wave series and what an amazing and bittersweet book was the final book The Last Star was for me. I just can't describe to you all the emotions that went through me while reading this book. I felt sad, angry, upset and sometimes frustrating with the characters as you can see I didn't feel any happy emotions reading The Last Star. Because to me, this is not a happy book, there is a lot of struggles, betrayal, death, and sacrifices that had to be made in this amazing book that is physically and emotionally drained me reading this book that I cried my eyes out reading this book until the bittersweet end. That I couldn't believe how it ended and I just kept on thinking about the book when I finished reading it and when I thought on more about The Last Star the more tears I shed. I will say this book wreak me for good that I want to know what happens next to all the characters that survived in The Last Star and what they are going to do about the others. There is some unanswered questions that has not been answered in this book for me, but I have heard that the author Rick Yancey will do other books part of The 5th Wave series but I don't know when they are going to come out yet. And he said that all are unanswered questions will be revealed in the next series. I can't wait until the next series will be out I will be patiently waiting for the next book to come out because even though it will be pure torture waiting for the next book to come out, I really want to know what happens next to the lives of all the characters that survived in The Lat Star. All and all I loved and enjoyed reading The Last Star but it was really sad to say goodbye to this book but I can't wait to see what Rick Yancey writes next!
Rick Yancey (Author)
Rick is a native Floridian and a graduate of Roosevelt University in Chicago. He earned a B.A. in English which he put to use as a field officer for the Internal Revenue Service. Inspired and encouraged by his wife, he decided his degree might also be useful in writing books and in 2004 he began writing full-time. Both books are set in Knoxville, Tennessee, where Rick lived for ten years before returning to Florida.
