Tensions rise between humans and robots in this sci-fi/drama set in the near future. Alex took a huge risk to unlock Ada and it seems to have paid off - Ada can now think for herself and explore life as a sentient android. As Alex and Ada spend more time together, they become closer. But as restrictions tighten on androids, Ada feels unsure about her place in Alex's life and the world. Collects Alex + Ada #6-10.

I am loving and enjoying Alex + Ada graphic novels there are amazing novels with very beautiful graphics designs and Vol. 2 gets better. I don't want to go into any details without being a spoiler, but Vol.2 starts right off where Vol. 1 left off at. And you can see that tensions are rising in this book between humans and robots especially androids that unlock that are free to feel every emotion like a human can.  And if a person unlocks androids they will go straight to jail because that is illegal in this future world because humans are scared of unlocking androids after the massacre that happened in this graphic novel. Which that is understanding but some androids just want to be free and feel all the emotions like a human do and they want to leave a normal life like humans as well. But the government society in this futuristic world forbids it which is kind of sad I read some great and amazing unharmful androids characters in this volume and I feel so bad and terrible for them on how they have to live and meet in secret so the government won't find out about them. Now Alex knows there were going to be a lot risks in his life for unlocking Ada because he knows he would go to straight to jail but he always wanted something more from Ada and he decided to take the chance to unlock her. There has been a tight restriction with androids in this world so Alex + Ada had to be careful as the tensions and restrictions rising with androids Ada doesn't know who she is and what her place is for Alex and the world. Ada feels a lot of emotions for Alex and she tries talking to him but he always gives her mix signals so she is always unsure of her place, but Alex is also unsure what Ada is for him. But one day Ada had enough and decided to leave Alex and try to find out what her true meaning is to the world, but Ada got into a bit of trouble with her other android friends. She did escape and find her way back to Alex sister house and that's when Alex went to her and they both finally told each other how they truly felt with for each other. But at the end of this amazing graphic novel, there will be more trouble for both Alex + Ada in the next volume which I can not wait to read soon. All and all I love and enjoy Alex + Ada and can't wait to read what happens next to both of them in the next volume!

  1. Great review, not sure this would be for me though as I stay away from sci-fi.

  5. I'm getting into graphic novels a bit more now but I seem to enjoy standalones more than series. I've always been intrigued by this one though.
