Featured & Follow Friday #5: Undiscovered Talent

THE DEPARTURE & FOLLOW IS HOSTED BY TWO HOSTS, PARAJUNKEE OF PARAJUNKEE'S VIEW AND ALISON OF ALISON CAN READ. EACH HOST WILL HAVE THEIR OWN FEATURE BLOG AND THIS WAY IT’LL ALLOW US TO SHOW OFF MORE NEW BLOGS.

How does this work? First you leave your name here on this post, (using the linky tools -- keep scrolling!) then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them "hi" in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!

What sets this Hop apart from others, is our Feature. Each week we will showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Who is our Feature today? Find out below. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow our Features and ayou must follow the hosts (
Parajunkee & Alison Can Read) as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your #FF post. A lot of blogs are transitioning to Wordpress in which they do not have the luxury of GFC, so an RSS subscription is appreciated or if you choose an email subscription. If you don't have GFC please state in your post how you would like to be followed.

Question of the Week:

Undiscovered talent - tell us about a book you loved but no one else seems to have heard of. It can be new or old, any genre. Let's spread the love. - Suggested by Becky's Barmy Book Blog

Synopsis

The first book in Alyson Noël's extraordinary new Immortals series. Enter an enchanting new world, where true love never dies...

After a horrible accident claims the lives of her family, sixteen-year-old Ever Bloom can see people's auras, hear their thoughts, and know someone's entire life story by touching them. Going out of her way to avoid human contact to suppress her abilities, she has been branded a freak at her new high school — but everything changes when she meets Damen Auguste.

Damen is gorgeous, exotic and wealthy. He's the only one who can silence the noise and random energy in her head - wielding a magic so intense, it's as though he can peer straight into her soul. As Ever is drawn deeper into his enticing world of secrets and mystery, she's left with more questions than answers. And she has no idea just who he really is - or
what he is. The only thing she knows to be true is that she's falling deeply and helplessly in love with him.

Why

(I must tell you this book series is not for everybody there is a lot of mix reviews on Goodreads about The Immortal Series, and not everybody loves it. But I absolutely love and adore this book and it will be one of my all time favorite series. Because Evermore is the first book that got me to start and really into reading YA in my early twenty's. And it has brought back nostalgic memories when I was in High School  while reading it. Because of that this book series will always have a special place in my heart!)

I honestly love this book! For some reason I never continued the series when I was younger. I might get back to it when my TBR is a little lighter

  4. I've read the entire series! I love the first book but the story went on a downward spiral from the third. I no longer liked the series then but for some reason, I'm so curious on what's going to happen in the end that I end up reading all books of the series!

  5. Hey BFF (you didn't know we were until this moment haha but I thought I'd inform you lol) I've definitely heard of evermore but I bypassed it because my tbr is already struggling and 6 more books is a bit much for it. I love the blurb though it sounds soo intriguing, I'm forcing myself to concentrate on what's on my physic and kindle shelf instead.

Thanks for the love and I've followed back on everything but GFC :)
