Simon Lewis has been a human and a vampire, and now he is becoming a Shadowhunter. But the events of City of Heavenly Fire left him stripped of his memories, and Simon isn’t sure who he is anymore. He knows he was friends with Clary, and that he convinced the total goddess Isabelle Lightwood to go out with him…but he doesn’t know how. And when Clary and Isabelle look at him, expecting him to be a man he doesn’t remember…Simon can’t take it. So when the Shadowhunter Academy reopens, Simon throws himself into this new world of demon-hunting, determined to find himself again. His new self. Whomever this new Simon might be. But the Academy is a Shadowhunter institution, which means it has some problems. Like the fact that non-Shadowhunter students have to live in the basement. And that differences—like being a former vampire—are greatly looked down upon. At least Simon is trained in weaponry—even if it’s only from hours of playing D&D. Join Simon on his journey to become a Shadowhunter, and learn about the Academy’s illustrious history along the way, through guest lecturers such as Jace Herondale, Tessa Gray, and Magnus Bane. These ten short stories give an epilogue to the Mortal Instruments series and provide glimpses of what’s in store in the Dark Artifices.
I usually don't like reading short stories in books by Cassandra Clare short stories are mine kryptonite I just love and enjoy reading her short stories books. Because I absolutely love and adore her shadowhunter world and I love all the characters in the shadowhunter world as well. So I was so ready to read Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy books because one I want to catch up to the series and start the next book series of the shadowhunter world called The Dark Artifices series. Which I can't wait to start this series soon. Two I so missed the shadowhunter world so much the last book that I read from this world was The Bane Chronicles which was another short storybook about Magnas Bane that I loved and adore reading so much as well, but I read The Bane Chronicles two years ago. So I had to read Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy that is Simon Lewis book after what happened to him at the middle-end of City of Heavenly Fire. If you read the ending of City of Heavenly Fire you now I was not happy for what happened to him at the middle end but I was really happy what his decision was at the end of the City of Heavenly Fire. Now Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy is continuous of Simon Lewis life while he goes to the Shadowhunter Academy in short stories. I won't go into details about this book because I don't want to get into any spoilers, but Cassandra Clare and her author friends once again made me fall in love with their short stories and also they tore my heart to pieces while reading this amazing book. But once again the mend my broken heart back together by the end of Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy that I can't wait to read The Dark Artifices series soon. All and all I loved and adored this book and can't wait to continue reading more books from the shadowhunter world.
