Cash is alive. But who knows how bad he’s hurt. There was an explosion, and he won’t wake up. It’s the phone call the any Titan wife dreads, and the one that brings Nicola Garrison to her knees in tears. Crying and praying for Cash to wake up, she has one secret to tell him and now it might be too late. “I’m pregnant. You’re going to be a daddy.” Practicing the words a million times didn’t matter if he wasn’t coming home from his job. In her rush to save him, she lets down her guard. One slip. One tiny mistake. That is all it takes to let years of protecting her identity fall apart. Her time in witness protection, then at the CIA is called into question by someone who has the power to end her life—and the baby she’s carrying. As the game of shadows and spooks, mobsters and goons comes back to hunt Nicola, survival takes on new meaning—protecting her baby, her husband, and her life—forcing her to make a choice that would kill her anyway in the end.

She made another quick scan of the perimeter. She squinted. There’s someone over there. Nic didn’t move or act as though she saw that person, who was probably a tourist out for a long walk along the beach—close to the reeds, standing still. Nope. Red alarm. Something was wrong. Shit. Okay. Never one to give up her cover, she stretched, and with faux-carefree laziness, watched another wave, eyeballing the figure in her peripheral vision, before slowly making her way inside. As soon as the door clicked shut, she moved boots, running from one side of the house to the next. There was nothing like a Jared Westin beach house to keep things armed and dangerous. She hit the master bedroom, slamming to a slowdown, tiptoeing around a sleeping Cash, and grabbed the binoculars. What else did she need? Hell, right now she was on a fact-finding mission. Back around the bed, and she was— “Freeze.” Shit. Nicola turned around to face her very awake husband. “Yeah?” “What are you up to?” “Had to get something.” And in a freakin’ hurry. “Go back to sleep.” “What?” “Binoculars.” “Why?” He hadn’t bothered to open his eyes or move. “Jeez. Bird watching. Can I go now?” Cash turned his head and opened his eyes. “Lie to me again, and see what happens.” Oh boy. “Go back to sleep.” “You ran through the house like you were up to something.” “I’ll explain later.” Telling him now would make his head explode, and that’d be bad for recovery and all. “My bird watching is time sensitive. Grill me later. Please?” His eyes narrowed. “You have the Spidey senses too.” He pushed out of bed, feeling along the side of the nightstand until he retrieved a Glock 9. “Cash Garrison!” He stood up, pausing for what had to be a second longer than his old norm. “Let’s go.” “The doctor said no loud noise, no percussive forces. He stipulated no gunfire.”

Here Is My WOW  Pick For This Week:
 The Outliers (The Outliers #1)
By Kimberly McCreight
Publication Date: May 3rd 2016 by HarperCollins
It all starts with a text: Please, Wylie, I need your help. Wylie hasn’t heard from Cassie in over a week, not since their last fight. But that doesn’t matter. Cassie’s in trouble, so Wylie decides to do what she has done so many times before: save her best friend from herself.

This time it’s different, though. Instead of telling Wylie where she is, Cassie sends cryptic clues. And instead of having Wylie come by herself, Jasper shows up saying Cassie sent him to help. Trusting the guy who sent Cassie off the rails doesn’t feel right, but Wylie has no choice but to ignore her gut instinct and go with him.

But figuring out where Cassie is goes from difficult to dangerous, fast. As Wylie and Jasper head farther and farther north into the dense woods of Maine, Wylie struggles to control her growing sense that something is really wrong. What isn’t Cassie telling them? And could finding her be only the beginning?

In this breakneck tale, New York Times bestselling author Kimberly McCreight brilliantly chronicles a fateful journey that begins with a single decision—and ends up changing everything.
I've been dying to read Reconstructing Amelia for a long time now, even though I heard mix reviews about it. But I am very intrigued about the plot of the book. And this one is no different I am very curious and intrigued about the concept and plot of this book. It absolutely looks and sounds amazing and fantastic!

My Teaser:
THE ECLIPSE SPANNED all my life. It invaded everything. A deep, seeping blackness that poured into every crack and fissure like pooling blood. The darkness was especially dense outside my tower, sliding like ink to where I stood on the light balcony, listening to the hum of hungry insects and animals. And Them.

It's been a week since 17-year old Zoe Jabril found out her best friend is a Guardian Angel, her boyfriend is a Nephilim, and a fellow classmate is a Fairy. What makes Zoe so special? She’s destined to unify Enlightens to battle evil—that is, if Demons don’t kill her first.

With ‘Project: Enlightens Unite’ underway, Zoe learns the history of the area wolf pack and realizes she's in a race against time to get her newly discovered talents under control. Despite struggling to fight a mysterious attraction to her new neighbor, rescue her boyfriend from Demons, and travel into Fairyland to convince the Summer King to join the fight, Zoe must still attend high school classes so her nosy parents don’t suspect anything is out of the ordinary before Demons can mount another attack.

Zoe will need all the help she can get, from the most unlikely of sources, if she’s to save her boyfriend's life and prevent the Devil from escaping Hell on her eighteenth birthday.

Last night, a friend of mine rose from the dead—and I was the one who brought her back. So I guess . . . I’m an angel. Or, at least most of my friends think I am.
Even wrapped tightly in the arms of my favorite oversized PINK hoodie, I shivered. It was chilly for mid-April while I sat on my front porch with the sun just coming over the horizon, but that wasn’t where the tremor had come from.
I glanced up, startled by the high-pitched squealing of truck brakes that rang above the music playing from my iPod. The truck turned into the cul-de-sac and careened straight into the next-door neighbors’ driveway. What made it really strange was the house had been empty since last October. I could still see the top of the “For Sale” sign on the manicured front lawn. I pulled out my cell phone to text my boyfriend, Shay.

Me: Good morning!

As I waited for a response, a gray-uniformed driver opened his door and climbed down. He walked to the back of the truck; then multiple doors slammed.
“This furniture goes into the living room on the main level,” a man said.
I didn’t particularly want to be a nosy neighbor, but I couldn’t help myself. I eased higher on the top step, hoping to get a look at the man who seemed to be in charge. His back was to me, so all I could tell was he had short blond hair. He glanced down at something then looked back up, turned, and pointed toward a number of other, smaller trucks in the cul-de-sac parking. More uniformed men jumped out of the smaller trucks and gathered around their boss, waiting for instructions. I had no interest in watching a bunch of people move boxes, so I just stayed on the step and waited for my best friend, Kieran, and Shay.
A shadow moved into my vision. I lifted my head and spotted someone standing on the street in front of my gate. From this angle and with the sun directly behind the person’s head, I couldn’t see the face, but I knew the body. Then he cleared his throat, and I smiled. I stood and lifted my hand to shield my eyes. No wonder he never texted me back. He probably thought an in-person hello was better.
“Hi,” I said to Shay. “Why are you just standing there? You can let yourself in.”
He stepped forward and opened the gate, and as he came into view, my eyes traveled up his body, over the usual black boots and black jeans. A blood-red T-shirt hugged his upper torso, which was odd. When had Shay added color to his wardrobe? The sleeves barely contained a notable set of muscles and the rest of the material was unsuccessfully hiding what I knew to be an impressive six-pack. In contrast to his dark clothes, Shay had blond hair, unlike my own long brown hair. Now that he was coming out of the direct sunlight, I was able to admire his strong chin and soft lips. Last week I’d kissed those lips on a number of occasions.
But by the time I reached his eyes, which were the most startling aqua color, an intense shiver ran through my body. The sensation was nothing new, but it felt off.
My mouth opened, ready to speak, but he beat me to it. “Name’s Aiden,” he said.
The person standing in front of me looked so similar to Shay. He could have passed as Shay’s older brother. He was going to be my next-door neighbor?Whoa.
“Hey, Aiden!” a shrill female voice shouted from an open window. “You still have unpacking to do! If I have to tell you one more time, I’ll raise holy hell . . .”

I couldn’t speak. Maybe the saying “we all have a twin in the world” was true. Aiden turned and briskly walked back toward his house. I gawked at his retreating back.

Before Britt can explore her feelings for Calvin, an unexpected blizzard forces her to seek shelter in a remote cabin, accepting the hospitality of its two very handsome occupants—but these men are fugitives, and they take her hostage.

Britt is forced to guide the men off the mountain, and knows she must stay alive long enough for Calvin to find her. The task is made even more complicated when Britt finds chilling evidence of a series of murders that have taken place there…and in uncovering this, she may become the killer’s next target.

But nothing is as it seems, and everyone is keeping secrets, including Mason, one of her kidnappers. His kindness is confusing Britt. Is he an enemy? Or an ally?

“Rife with psychological twists exploring themes of revenge, misogyny, and familial duty” (Publishers Weekly), Black Ice is New York Times bestselling author Becca Fitzpatrick’s riveting romantic thriller set against the treacherous backdrop of the mountains of Wyoming. Falling in love should never be this dangerous…
Now I know some readers don't like Black Ice and I have heard mix reviews about this book with some book bloggers I am following. But I am really surprise on how much I absolutely love and enjoy Black Ice. I am really loving Becca Fitzpatrick writing style and on how she can tell a mystery thriller story. I really love everything about Black Ice. The plot and concept was full of mystery and suspense that it had me engaged on the book from start too finish. The writing style is very expository and descriptive that I felt that I was right there with the characters in the story, I just love reading every moment and description in this awesome book. The characters were very well rounded and dynamic too me that I can feel ever emotion they were feeling especially the main characters Britt and Mason aka Jude. Now I don't want to give too much details about Black Ice. But Black Ice is about Britt and her best friend Korbie going on spring break vacation to Idlewilde were there is Korbie's family summer cabin in Grand Teton National Park. So they can also go backpacking through the Teton Range, well Britt was going backpacking and her best friend Korbie was going to stay at the cabin with her boyfriend Bear. But there was a little problem with there trip Korbie older brother Calvin has too tag along and chaperone the girls while there at Idlewilde. This is a big problem for Britt because Calvin is Britt ex boyfriend who broke her heart and he still haunts her every thoughts. At first she made that trip thinking Calvin would join them, but now after she heard that he was actually joining them she was having seconds thoughts. Britt tried asking Korbie if her parents would reconsider that Calvin doesn't need to chaperone them on there trip but Korbie parents would hear none of that and would not budge with there decision. So Britt had too bare with Calvin presents during there whole spring break vacation too Idlewilde. While Britt and Korbie were driving too Idlewilde there were struck by a horrible unexpected blizzard that forced her and Korbie to seek shelter. When they both thought there were not going to find shelter in the horrible blizzard they finally found a remote cabin with two very handsome occupants in the cabin. They happily accepted there hospitality to enter the cabin for shelter even though one of the men did not want them there. But soon Britt and Korbie finds out these men are fugitives and they take them hostage. Now the two fugitives forces Britt to guide them off the mountain. But Britt is really confuse with one of the hostages Mason he treats her with kindness and he acts like he really cares for what happens too Britt. Is Mason an enemy? Or an ally? Now I am going to leave it off here because I don't want to spoil it for anybody. But I can't wait too read more books by Becca Fitzpatrick! I am most definitely going to read her Hush Hush Series because I have a really good feeling that I am really going to love and enjoy that series as well!
Becca Fitzpatrick grew up reading Nancy Drew and Trixie Belden with a flashlight under the covers. She graduated college with a degree in health, which she promptly abandoned for storytelling. When not writing, she's most likely prowling sale racks for reject shoes, running, or watching crime dramas on TV. She is the author of the bestselling HUSH, HUSH Saga. The Post Prompt:

Short Stories (as companions to a series): What do you love about them and hate about them?

submitted by Kristine

My Answer:
This is a really great post prompt question. I absolutely love novella's short stories, because we do get too learn more of the backstory of a specific character that you really want to find out and learn more about the specific character. But I so despise of short stories is  when there is a major event in a short story with that character and it just get cuts at the end and we don't now what happens next until the next book comes out. We could wait for a couple of months or it can be a year long wait, and that is pure torture for me too wait that long. But I totally understand why an author makes us wait that long she just wants everything too be a great and epic series. Even though it's pure torture to wait. I will admit too you that I would be waiting  patiently without going crazy for the next book to come out. Because I just know the next book will be pure epic greatness!  lol :D
