Self-proclaimed fat girl Willowdean Dickson (dubbed “Dumplin’” by her former beauty queen mom) has always been at home in her own skin. Her thoughts on having the ultimate bikini body? Put a bikini on your body. With her all-American beauty best friend, Ellen, by her side, things have always worked…until Will takes a job at Harpy’s, the local fast-food joint. There she meets Private School Bo, a hot former jock. Will isn’t surprised to find herself attracted to Bo. But she is surprised when he seems to like her back. Instead of finding new heights of self-assurance in her relationship with Bo, Will starts to doubt herself. So she sets out to take back her confidence by doing the most horrifying thing she can imagine: entering the Miss Clover City beauty pageant—along with several other unlikely candidates—to show the world that she deserves to be up there as much as any twiggy girl does. Along the way, she’ll shock the hell out of Clover City—and maybe herself most of all. With starry Texas nights, red candy suckers, Dolly Parton songs, and a wildly unforgettable heroine—Dumplin’ is guaranteed to steal your heart.

Ahh, Yay I finally read Dumplin back in December and fall in love with this amazing book I also watch the movie back in December as well and loved it too. What can I say about Dumplin I don't think I need to go into any details about this book because everybody knows what it is about. I am just going to pure gush and gush about this book because I absolutely and utterly loved and enjoyed everything about it! The plot and aspect of the book were absolutely amazingly fantastic and very original I haven't read another book like Dumplin yet and it was quite a refreshing read to read a book that I haven't read before. The writing style was wonderfully descriptive and flawless I felt like I was there cheering on Willowdean and all her friends. And all the characters, ohh the characters I loved and adore I especially love the diversity in all the characters as well.  Of course, my two favorite main characters was Willowdean and Bo. Ahh, Bo the handsome and former jock Bo. I could see why Willowdean was attracted to Bo he was kind of quiet and rough around the edges but he truly has a kind and golden heart and to Willowdean surprise, he was attracted to Willowdean as well. Now what can I say about Willowdean that everybody knows about her already I think she is a very strong well, independent and full of confidence and totally brave girl and she is beautiful from the inside and out. I love how she took the lead and decided to enter the Miss Cloverleaf pageant to get her full confidence back and didn't care what anybody thinks about it that includes her mother as well. But Willowdean can be a little stubborn and hardheaded as well that I just wanted to knock some sense into her while reading Dumplin. But by the end of this book, she had everything straighten out, now I was so surprised how the end of this book ended so fast and I was listening to Dumplin on audio I was like that can't be the end already but yup it was. But that's ok I watch the film on Netflix and I love how they ended the movie better than the book if you ask me.  All and all I really loved and adore Dumplin so much that I want to read Puddin' next because I loved Millie in Dumplin!
