The greater the risk, the hotter the reward…

Homicide cop Troy Bennett had a reputation on the Chicago PD for being fearless and in control—until the night his daredevil partner is killed during a raid. From that moment on, he swears he’ll never again be responsible for the loss of a loved one. To escape his demons, Troy transfers to the NYPD, bringing him up close and personal with Ruby Elliott, a beautiful, street-savvy pool hustler.

Reckless and stubbornly independent, Ruby embodies everything Troy’s avoiding, but when she walks into O’Hanlon’s Pub and blows his carefully laid plans to hell, Troy knows he has to have her—risks be damned. But there’s a connection between Ruby’s shadowed past and a case Troy’s working involving a notorious Brooklyn felon, throwing her safety into jeopardy. Confronted with his biggest fear, will Troy push Ruby away to keep her safe or fight to keep her in his arms where she belongs?

Holy Hotness just Wowwww His Risk To Take was really hot from right in the very beginning to the very end that I could not put the book down Yes I really loved and enjoyed this one much better than the first Line of Duty novels that I can't wait to continue reading the next companion books!

It is set in one of my most favorite places New York City I have family up in New York and I used to visit them some time when I was a kid and I remember it like the details in this book I loved all the characters Troy Bennett the proactive, responsible and sexy dominant cop that was transferred from Chicago to NYPD because of the death of his partner back in Chicago that he feels solely responsible for his death it just broke my heart for all the hurt and pain that Troy was feeling and carrying within him I just felt so bad for him! He goes out drinking with some of his cop buddies to try to forget about the pain and hurt from his past and when one of his friends ask a question about what color hair of a women does he prefers when he looks on a dark hair beauty Ruby Elliott that just walk in the bar and when Ruby and Troy lock eyes with each other sparks fly and attraction flares and let flirtation and seduction commins Ohh and there is a lot of it! When Troy first lay eyes on Ruby he didn't want no other men to have Ruby he wanted her all to himself and he didn't understand why he felt the way he did but he just did! Ruby Elliott what can I say about her she is sexy, smart, stubborn and one hell of a pool hustler and I just love and adore her especially her savvy street attitude. When Ruby first lays eyys on Troy she felt the attraction and sparks toward him but she couldn't figure him out and she was really curious to learn more about him and Oh Boy did she ever learn more about him! The plot is great and the story line was amazing to me Troy and Ruby get to now and figure out each other and they also help each other even though the clash heads sometimes and I love the ending it was beautiful and Ohh so steamy hot!

His Risk To Take was an amazing read to me that I can't wait to read the next Line Of Duty books that are about Troy cop friends Daniel and Brent which I thought they both were hilarious and sexy in His Risk To Take that I am super excited to read there own books!

Tessa Bailey is originally from Carlsbad, California. The day after high school graduation, she packed her yearbook, ripped jeans and laptop, driving cross-country to New York City in under four days.

Her most valuable life experiences were learned thereafter while waitressing at K-Dees, a Manhattan pub owned by her uncle. Inside those four walls, she met her husband, best friend and discovered the magic of classic rock, managing to put herself through Kingsborough Community College and the English program at Pace University at the same time. Several stunted attempts to enter the work force as a journalist followed, but romance writing continued to demand her attention.

She now lives in Long Island, New York with her husband of eight years and four-year-old daughter. Although she is severely sleep-deprived, she is incredibly happy to be living her dream of writing about people falling in love.
