I read a lot of books about mental illnesses, as I, myself have bipolar disorder. Perhaps have it be a...I think this is a great idea. Perhaps have it be a mix of a memoir of your own experiences to help personalize it? This is kind of what I want to do with my son. He's autistic and it's not an easy route. I just wish there were more people who could understand and not assume his odd behaviors are because I'm a bad parent. Which is typically the first thing they say. You should write your book/your story.
