THE FUTURE & FOLLOW IS HOSTED BY TWO HOSTS, PARAJUNKEE OF PARAJUNKEE'S VIEW AND ALISON OF ALISON CAN READ. EACH HOST WILL HAVE THEIR OWN FEATURE BLOG AND THIS WAY IT’LL ALLOW US TO SHOW OFF MORE NEW BLOGS.

Post Prompt:

What book/series do you love secretly and have a hard time admitting you love?

My Answer:

I know I don't mention this series on my blog because a lot of readers don't like this series know as adults when they first read it as kids. But this book actually got me into reading when I was in my early twenty's when it first came out. And I still love it and it will always have a special place in my heart because of that reasoning. And that series is The Twilight Saga by Stephanie Meyer (ducks and hides please don't judge me). lol :D

This Week Question:

How do you handle negative comments left on your blog? (submitted by Maria @ A Night's Dream of Books)

My Answer:

I am very thankful to god I never had a negative comment on this blog. (knock on wood) But if I would (which I hope and pray I never would) have a negative comment. I will just delete that comment and address it respectively on that post and I will mention it on my next post as well on my blog.

  1. I was still pretty young when Twilight first came out and I actually really liked the first book and even read it multiple times. However once I watched the movie I started to look at the series a little more critically. It didn't stop me from reading the rest of the series though.

I haven't received a negative comment yet either! I think deleting the comment is an approach I haven't even thought of before. I think some cases might warrant it but personally I prefer transparency and would leave it there. Maybe I would reply to the comment as rationally as I can but that's it.

    1. Thank you you so much for stopping by my blog, and I totally understand about being transparent of negative comments. But I rather delete any negative comments because it will just get me more absent and I will keep on thinking about it so I rather delete it and address it on the post.

  2. I read the Twilight series with my oldest girl when they first came out and I could definitely see the appeal though they weren't for me. I love that they got you reading! That's great!
I've only had a couple of comments that I'd consider negative and they were more a difference of opinion than an attack. I think for the most part book people tend to be pretty nice!

  3. I read Twilight, but no other books in the series.

I haven't gotten negative comments, but would just ignore and delete. Not worth responding.

Hope you are having a good Saturday.

  5. Please don't feel you need to hide your enjoyment of anything you read! People can be so judgmental, can't they? The Twilight saga got many people reading.

I am with you about negative comments. I don't mind when people disagree with something I've said, but I don't think it's okay to bash or attack anyone. I would delete those comments.

I hope you have a wonderful week!

  8. My worst ones, which were both criticisms of my blog design, I deleted. The second one I originally replied to and told her to mind her own blog, but I realized that it made me look just as bad, so I deleted both the comment and my reply. :)
