The Sins of the Sire
Two years ago, English noblewoman, Elyssia De Montford, risked her life to free the Highlander held prisoner by her sadistic fiancé. She cannot forget the man who first stirred her heart–a memory that burns anew when she finds herself once more on the road to Scotland.
Tavish MacLean has sworn vengeance. It’s been six years since his beloved sister was raped and murdered by an English lord, a tragedy which almost destroyed his family. On his deathbed, his father demanded retribution and Tavish pledged before his clan to enslave the lord’s daughter then send her back to her father, pregnant with a Scottish bastard. When he learns that she is travelling north, he seizes his opportunity and orders her abduction.
But when his men fling the prisoner before him, Tavishrecognises Elyssia, the woman who once saved his life. Loyalty to his clan trumps the debt he owes her and he claims Elyssia as his captive. Though she’s one of the hated English, her willing body ignites passion in him at night, though she fights him at every turn during the day. As time passes, he questions his loyalty, finding himself increasingly enthralled by his fiery captive.
Treachery surrounds Clan MacLean. When long-buried secrets come to light, Tavish must risk his life and his clan, or all that he holds dear will be destroyed.

*** I received this book by Rachel's Random Resources blog tour in exchange for an honest review, thank you so much to Rachel and Emily for giving me the opportunity to read and review The Sins of the Sire. *** Oh wow, what a really intense, raw and gritty book is The Sins of the Sire and I absolutely love and enjoyed everything in this book so much. I know some readers might turn this book away and that is totally understandable if you don't like books like The Sins of the Sire but for me, I absolutely love books like this one. I sometimes shiver and gasp with everything was going on for Elyssia De Montford and her older sister Alice. I just wanted to scream my lungs off of all the injustice for both the De Montford sisters were going through in The Sins of the Sire especially for Elyssia my heart just broke every time something terrible happens to her. She never gets a break from all the hell she went through in this book when you think while reading The Sins of the Sire that everything will be alright and good for Elyssia during her captivity and everything is getting a little much better and probably some hope for Elyssia and her older sister Alice than bang the author drops another disappointed tragedy in the mix. I just wanted to shot jump holler and scream with pain at the end especially the ending of this book Mrs. Royal took my heart and broke it into tiny pieces at the end it was just wasn't fair what Elyssia and her sibling was going through, after all the hell that Elyssia and her sibling went through. I even felt even more horrible for everything that Tavish MacLean was going through as well he swore vengeance to the De Montford family when Richard De Monford Sr who is Elyssia evil and cold-hearted father destroys Tavish family by raping his younger sister Flora and in pregnant her with his child poor Flora died in childbirth. So Tavish MacLean swore he would avenge he dead sister and made a promise to his clan and to his father on his death bed that he will seek out revenge and destroy the De Monford family at all cost. But he didn't realize the huge problem when he finds out that one of De Monford daughters is none other than the woman who saves him two years ago from captivity from Elyssia evil fiance and who ignites great passions within him. Tavish MacLean questions everything he swore to avenge and he questions his loyalty to his clan. I tell you all this book had everything that I loved in it and now I can't wait to continue on reading more books part of the Dark Highland Passions series when the next book comes out I will be greedily trying to get my hands on it as well. All and all I absolutely love everything in this book but I will warn you all The Sins of the Sire is really intense raw and very gritty and it also has some gore in it but if you don't like those things like as I mention before then this book is not for you. But if you are like me that love all the things I mentioned before then I say try this book out you will love it.
